The annual hockey game between the UTSC Racoons (East) and UTM Eagles (West), played traditionally as the first game of the year, began nine years ago as a way to boost school spirit by stoking the fire of campus rivalry.

U of T is currently gearing up to film its very own Lip Dub, a video that combines lip-syncing and audio dubbing with the goal of showcasing student spirit. Auditions were held at UTSC on Aug. 6 and 9.
Charles Wong, U of T Lip Dub’s director of public relations spoke briefly to The Underground about plans for the video.
It wasn’t planned, and it certainly wasn’t pretty. But Angela Lecce’s game-winning buzzer beater to topple St. George’s B team 28-27 on Jan. 26 was enough to have the fans in attendance leap to the court in acknowledgement.
