So much for being too close to call. After all the showmanship and dirty politics, apparently people didn’t take the message to “vote anybody but Ford” very seriously.
The Scarborough camp squeaked by with a 1-0 victory on Oct. 17 over the St. George Reds on a day rightly called “Soccer Day in Scarborough.” Despite being drastically outshot in the match’s early stages, UTSC rallied behind Daniel DeFusco’s rebound goal.
Lively, enthusiastic, and modest, Lee is a motivational force to her teammates on the co-ed ultimate frisbee team. When she sees new players struggling with ultimate, or potential points of improvement for experienced players, she actively supports them.
A man of few words who doesn’t brag about his achievements is Michael Myers, a role model who leads by example. He is a dedicated athlete who has never missed a practice on UTSC’s intramural flag football team.
The history department recently hosted the very first evening of the Living Documents series at UTSC. The event featured Professor Franca Iacovetta, whose work encompasses such fields as Women’s and Gender history, Immigrants and Racialized populations, and moral regulation and citizenship in Cold War Canada, among others.
