Jessica Lee reviews what passes for food below the Student Centre at Rex’s Den, and the results are disappointing.
The infamous KFC “sandwich”, which took the United States by storm after April Fool’s Day, has now infiltrated the Canadian border and made its way into Toronto. It is bun-less. It is an alien-looking, disproportionate cluster of two pieces of chicken, bacon, processed cheese and Col. Sanders’ “secret sauce”.
Lack of space at UTSC is an old and tired issue. But is the campus too small, or have we simply ignored spots which could be utilized better to allow for more space on our crowded campus?
It’s become a tradition: every year at UTSC, UNICEF organizes a charity event called Prof-in-a-Box, a donations campaign aimed at students. The campaign allows students to place money in one of several jars, each marked with a different professor’s name. The professor whose jar has the most money must wear the large, orange UNICEF box during one of their lectures.
The online professional research network, LabCove, made its official launch at UTSC on Oct. 28. The Meeting Place was bustling with students and faculty as the core LabCove team – proudly introduced LabCove to the UTSC community.
